Windows 2000

Windows 2000 is geared for professionals, not for the average home user. There are additional steps involved in setting up Dial-Up Networking which VyaNet does not provide support for. If you don't know how to perform these steps, please contact us to arrange for paid support.

Click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel

In the Control Panel, double-click Network and Dial-up Connections

In the Network and Dial-up Connections window, double-click Make New Connection

The Network Connection Wizard will open. Click Next

Select Dial-up to the Internet. Click Next

Select I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN). Click Next

Select I connect through a phone line and a modem. Click Next

Enter the dial-up phone number (Eugene: 246-1245). Uncheck Use area code and dialing rules

Enter your username and password. Click Next

Enter VyaNet in the Connection name field. Click Next

Select Yes

If you would like to immediately connect, check To connect to the Internet immediately, select this box and then click Finish.
